  7. The NI-488M software includes multitasking device drivers for the SCO UNIX and
  8. SCO XENIX Operating System for the National Instruments GPIB-PCII/IIA, MC-GPIB,
  9. and AT-GPIB interface boards for the PC. The GPIB (General Purpose Interface
  10. Bus) is the industry standard for controlling laboratory and test equipment
  11. from computers. The NI-488M driver allows multiple tasks and users to
  12. simultaneously access instruments on the GPIB. The package includes the driver
  13. with high-level and low-level functions, an interactive configuration program,
  14. an interactive control utility that lets you control instruments from the
  15. keyboard, and user diagnostics.
